Walk Chico Creek and Engage in Professional Dialogue for K-12 Educators

The Mountaineers' Kitsap Cabin at Chico Creek

People often refer to our Pacific Northwest bioregion as Salmon Nation.  Salmon are an integral part of our ecology, culture, heritage, economy, and politics. The plight of the salmon reflects the convergence of many critical ecological issues facing our region, and provide topics of study rich in ways to bridge classroom and community.

What are the interdisciplinary possibilities for teaching and learning about salmon in elementary and secondary education?

Join us for a special walk in the rhododendron preserve surrounding Chico Creek, in the heart of Kitsap County. Learn about the Salmon Safari Program and the Chico Creek Project.

Date to be decided!
